A little bit of this, a little bit of lash

Lashes, lashes, lashes, there’s so many. You’ve got the strip lashes, the individual lashes, the individual lashes that are knot free, your own lashes, those fancy lashes with feathers at the ends, the lashes with diamontes, I could go on. Heading out, you always want to play up your best feature, whether it be your eyes or your lips, whatever.

I love using mascara on my own lashes, but sometimes I feel like wearing strip ones or individual ones, to give them that extra length and fullness. I especially love it when I apply strip lashes on clients that have never had them on before. They’re so amazed and shocked at how one simple lash strip can completely finish the look and give your eyes that extra pop. When applying lashes, how do you ladies do it? I usually use tweezers but what happens when you get a client that doesn’t want something sharp near their eye. Opt for an angled brush instead, this way it’ll help to ease your client.

The best thing about false lashes, whether it be strip or individual, you know you’ve applied them perfectly when you forget that they’re even there.

SEE

Designer Brands Beyond Amplifying mascara

Don’t be fooled, it might not be the most expensive mascara or the most popular, but surprisingly, it works pretty well. I love how the mascara wand doesn’t just apply the mascara but helps comb through your lashes as well. Formulated as a tubing mascara, the lacquer when applied wraps around each lash  giving your lashes a fuller look and really helps to get the shortest of lashes and adds length to it.

SMELL

Dove go fresh anti-perspirant deodorant in cucumber & green tea scent

I’m sure a lot of you are fans of spray deodorants especially on those sweaty and sticky days, I myself always have one in my bag and spray some on before I head out. With this deodorant it not only smells great but it’s one of the anti-perspirants that contain ¼ moisturising cream which really helps the skin under your arms, leaving it soft and smooth. That and also it has a very light feel to it, you’ll definitely feel fresh after using it.

FEEL

Clean & Clear essentials oil-control toner

I really don’t think I could live without this! This is especially great for oily skin as it helps to remove the oil from your face, the sides of your nose and on your T-zone. Simply apply it to a cotton pad and then all over you face, neck and behind your ears (you’ll be surprised with how much oil you have there), leaving your skin feeling clean and oil free.

Your guide on false lashes

So many lashes, how do you know which one is right for you?

Individuals:
With knot – can be applied on the top of your lashes or under them
No knot – great for those photographic shoots especially when it’s a close up on lashes, you don’t want to see random knots there.
Individual lashes are great for any eye shape, they’re light and gives you a more natural look compared to strip lashes.

Try: Putting some individual lashes on the outer corners of your eye for a flirtier look and eyes that look like they’re smiling.

Crossed together:
Especially great for Asian eyes or for those who have shorter lashes as the crossing of the false lashes helps to create the illusion of fuller lashes with added length.
If you have hooded eyes, try the crossed ones that are longer.

If you have shorter lashes, choose crossed ones that are just a bit longer than your own.

Thick & Close:
These are great for a fuller and dramatic look. Perfect with a thick liquid liner on top and a great look for a night out. Best for people with longer lashes as the falsies need support. You don’t want them falling down now.

The Eye opener:
For a clumpier look, it’s not about perfect lashes all the time. Apply this and top off with 2 coats of mascara for eyes that stand out. Don’t forget mascara on the bottom lashes to help with eyes appearing bigger.

Thin & Simple:
For that added fullness all across the lash line without making them appear top heavy. Great for all eye shapes. It’s simple and natural.

With any false lashes:
-        Look for thin base lines for a more natural look and thick base lines for a more dramatic look. Don’t forget these base lines act as eyeliner.
-        Mascara always needs to applied to help blend your natural lashes to your false lashes.
-        Lashes should be curled before you apply your falsies.
-        False lashes should fit your eye, if it’s too long it looks funny and makes your eyes look smaller.

Walking with line - asleep or awake?

The other night, I couldn’t get to sleep. I was literally laying around for 3 hours before I fell asleep. Starting up this blog, I love it. I love putting ideas up and creating new posts, reviewing products and sharing my makeup knowledge with all of you.

The weirdest thing is, I don’t sleep walk or at least I don’t think I do. However, I woke up at 4 in the morning and found that my computer was turned on. I don’t know how it turned on though, my door is always closed when I’m asleep and no one in my family turned it on. Funny thing is, I was actually dreaming about writing up a new blog. So my conclusion is that I’m so obsessed with this blog that I must have turned on my computer thinking I was awake.

I woke up and was so confused, had absolutely no idea what happened because when I did wake up I was in my bed.

I hope I wasn’t sleep walking, but what other explanation is there. I don’t remember a thing.
