Dear diary: When your phone breaks, turn to facebook..

.. or some type of social networking site.

People are really mean.

So today my phone broke and I’m going to blog about how I feel because I’m so frustrated right now.

I’ve only ever had 2 phones, my first one being a nokia 6610 and my recent one a nokia 6760. I’m not that type of person who needs a phone with all these apps or you can do this on this phone and you can do that, you can get how many gigabytes you want. I don’t care. To me a phone is a phone and as long as I can call people, text people and they can reach me and I can reach them it’s fine.

So today I dropped it and it’s not the first time it’s been dropped and with nokia phones, the backing usually just comes off along with the battery, the screen has never cracked on me. But being a slide phone, this time it slid open and smashed on the floor so the sliding is broken and the film that attaches the information together or whatever I don’t know, it just snapped so it’s broken and it won’t turn on.

I was like, I can fix it. NO I CANNOT! I literally don’t even know. So as soon as I got home I spent 3 hours going through all pre paid phones I had, to find that 4 out of 5 of them are all locked! So I went back to my nokia 6610 and the battery is literally dying, I’m not talking just charge it, it’ll be fine. NO! it’s that old that even if do charge it, the battery is going to die.

I thought that’s okay I can still get all my info from the sim card, oh guess what guys, it’s not SAVED ON MY SIM CARD!!!!! And then I was like oh wait it has a micro sd card, so maybe all the info is there. Spent half an hour calling up people asking if they had a card reader, thankyou for family for living close by, got it. So I managed to save some pics and videos and music but I have no peoples. I have none of my contacts saved on this sd card and I am so devastated because it’s all saved on my phone that doesn’t even turn on now, calendar dates, notes. IMPORTANT THINGS! And before anyone goes well you should of backed up your phone and update info daily onto your computer from your phone, just don’t. I already feel so poop inside and it doesn’t help when you go on google to find answers to fix the problem and you get smart comments like that. Alright why do people have to be so mean? A simple, try getting it repaired at a mobile repair shop or recommend a good place you can get it fixed, is fine. People need to calm down with the things they say sometimes. I don’t even know.

All I can say is thank you for social networking sites at least I can get some numbers off there.

FEEL: Yes to tomatoes acne spot stick REVIEW

Okay I’m kind of mad right now. Although I love trying out new products that I get or are given to me or I buy for myself, I really don’t like it when this one product I have seems to be working for everybody else but me, well 90% of people calculated by my own made up statistic, but you know what I mean.

What is Caroline talking about you may ask? Well I’ll tell you, okay, I’m talking about this Yes to tomatoes clear skin acne spot stick.

Yes to tomatoes clear skin acne spot stick
Where do I begin, okay mostly girls but some guys may relate to this if you’ve seen the ads, you get a pimple or you feel a whopper of a pimple coming on and you’re stressing out because people are just going to stare at it and with stress comes more pimples (if you’re like that) and you just need clear skin for this one event you may have. It always happens, your skin could look fiercely clear for one week and then when you actually have to be somewhere or go to a party or a rocking event, lol, yeah I’m laughing at myself I just said that, you have this huge pimple and no not at the side where you can sort of hide it with some hair but smack bang right in the middle of your face, so it’s like your pimple might as well be saying hello to everyone you meet.

I was so excited to try this spot stick out because just as I got it, I got a massive red pimple because I don’t even know, I think because this week I just went a bit cray cray with the deep fried food, whoops.

Reading the reviews on this product as well got me so excited and kind of a bit sad to say this, what I was reading was that it worked really well for A LOT of people who tried it, but unfortunately not for me, well sort of.

What is it?

Yes to tomatoes clear skin acne spot stick
It’s a roller ball spot stick which targets all those blemishes you may have and allows you to apply the product on the spot or blemish that needs it unlike you facial washes or scrubs which you apply all over your face.

What’s in it?

With any acne or pimple treatment, you’re going to find that it contains salicylic acid which helps to unclog pores, break down any blemishes and also control the oil.
It also contains bisabol and ginger which helps with the redness you find on your pimples and it helps to reduce it and also tomatoes which have lycopene which is great as that will help to control the oil.

How to use it?

I think the one thing that annoys me about this is having to apply it 1 -3 times a day especially for those really severe blemishes and even though it’s a quick little roll on, what if you’re the type of person that wears a lot of moisturiser or foundation all day.

The roller ball
When applied..

Applying it, it’s fun, it’s a different product, it makes you feel like you’re targeting that pimple. It goes on clear which is hard to see and make sure you give the tube a good shake so the roller ball doesn’t get stuck.

What I like about it?

I do like however that it is just for those spot blemishes, the smell is nice, I do really feel like I am doing something to prevent these pimples from getting worse, it’s not a drying product, my skin doesn’t get irritated. I think with the Yes to tomatoes brand, they’re products are very mild.

So why am I mad?

I guess I’m definitely bummed that it didn’t work as well for me, in my opinion it’s not a miracle worker, the blemish isn’t going to disappear overnight, there may be a slight difference, I definitely will say the redness on my blemish has reduced a fair bit and

My thoughts overall..

I would recommend this for those pimples that get really red. As for zits or blackheads or whiteheads, not so much as these lie deeper in the skin so I don’t think it works that deep down. But from what I gather overall it’s a product that would work for the majority.

New shoes hurt, help me break into them..

I love buying new shoes, but they always just hurt after a few hours you’ve worn them, not when you initially try them out in the store and walk around, no, they’re fine, but until you’ve walked around in them a couple of hours you’re feet are just so sore by the end of the day and then you get the blisters plus the throbbing with the redness and it’s just ugly! And feet alone, gross. Feet plus redness plus blisters and swelling, double gross!

so pretty, but so painful, but not for long!
I get that shoes need to be broken into and mould to the shape of your feet but its painful. So sad, anybody have a shoe stretcher? They would be such a good investment especially for heels and these cute little pump wedges I just bought. It’s also weird because apparently our feet get bigger during the afternoon so I don’t even know.  Shoes you are just so lucky, you’re so pretty and all the styles and designs out there, ugh!
Black Imi Suede by Betts at $67.49

Alright so here are a couple of ways I try to break my shoes in..

1.      Walk around the house in your new pair of shoes, get used to them and if they start hurting, take them off and chuck on some slippers or something. (best way)

2.      If you’re going outside to hang laundry, wear those shoes, it’s only a very short distance from the backyard to the clothes line

3.      Get a guy to break them in for you, just an hour or two, just squeeze those feet in, no one will know, work in an office? Ask them just to slip it on under the desk, who looks at feet anyway?

4.      Pay 5 bucks and go get them stretched and leave it there overnight or a week

Calling out to you all, any other ways you know how I can break into my shoes, leave a comment I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW. The crazier the better!

Losing weight isn't just about being skinny and Yes to tomatoes pore scrub review

The other day I was given a health book and it talked a lot about how women go on numerous amounts of diets just to get skinny and in my opinion I think a lot of people out there forget that losing weight isn’t just about being skinny, but it’s about being healthy, it’s training your body to eat good foods and choose healthier options, it’s about walking up a flight of stairs without being out of breath, it’s seeing the changes in yourself, getting out there and being more active.

With eating the right foods, you reap so many benefits especially for your skin. So okay, you might get the occasional red spot here and there on your face but I mean who doesn’t?

When you eat a lot of fruit, some vegetables and just A LOT less junk then you usually would, your skin just glows, believe it or not makeup can only do so much sometimes and people forget that. Sure we can give you that fake glow but wouldn’t you want to have a natural glow all the time?

One of the reasons I love winter is because my skin settles down so much. I don’t need to use that toner to get rid of the excess oil because there isn’t any, the only thing I need more of is moisturiser and even the oiliest skin gets dry, so moisturise away just choose a water based one instead of oil based.

I tweeted the other day that I was going to get some new products in to try and one of the products that came in was skin care. The brand Yes to tomatoes is all about skin and hair care products. The first product I’ve tried from this brand really surprised me. If you don’t know, I believe in giving every product out there a chance, if you could see my makeup kit, I have a lot of different brands, not all the time will you find one brand that will work well with every skin type or even trying to achieve a particular look.

Yes to tomatoes daily pore scrub (113g)
So the Yes to tomatoes daily pore scrub really worked for me in the sense that it got rid of the redness in a blemish that I had the other night. One of the reasons I was so excited to use this was for the fact that it helped eliminate redness faster and when reading that health book of mine, darker vegetables give more nutrients, like broccoli will always beat cauliflower and having lycopene-rich tomatoes (an antioxidant found in redder vegetables and fruits) in this product, I just knew this would be a great.

However it does claim to unclog pores and make blackheads run for cover, with the pores I would say I haven’t seen any difference keeping in mind I’ve used this once last night and the most I can say for now is that the red blemish I had on my cheek has gone which really surprised me.

This pore scrub is made with natural ingredients and contains bisabolol and ginger where infused help to soothe irritated skin, reduce redness faster and calm inflammation and contains salicylic acid (found in all your cleansers) to help get rid of acne and unclog pores.

When using this, it was scent free and for me it was a mild face wash, it didn’t dry my skin but it definitely eliminated the redness on my skin so that’s a huge plus for me. Definitely will give this product a try for the next month to see how the pores are going but I’m liking it so far.
