FEEL: A skin care brand called MooGoo...

Hey guys, yay for the weekend, not like I do much but yayyy!

And before anyone says anything, yes I changed the design of my blog just cause I felt like it and I do things like that every so often because I get bored pretty quickly and WOAH my keyboard is spazzing out on me.

Sometimes I find it really weird when people say to me that they’re not into the whole skin care and makeup and beauty things because I forget that we all have different interests and I like to think that everybody thinks like me, but no. Talk about being in my own little world.

I like when I find a product that really works and it’s something useful where I just tell people about it because I can’t help it, I mean I’m the type of person where I’ll buy it and they can try it and then I’ll rave about it and talk it up so that they’ll get it. Get it? =)

I picked up this amazing cream a couple of weeks ago and my skin is literally glowing! Now in all fairness, I personally think it was like fate, I was meant to buy this. So, a friend of mine came over and I was like heyyyyyy your skin looks GREAT! And she was like thankyou, it’s this all natural cream I literally just slapped on my face and I was like yeahhh and just nodding like an idiot because her face was glowing and it looked so hydrated and smooth and you get it. Caroline was amazed. She told me about it and 3 days later I walked into this chemist and there this product was, right at the counter, I’ve never seen this particular brand there before but this time I did, so I bought it because I wanted my skin to glow too.

It’s a skin care brand called MooGoo.

MooGoo in Full Cream

Now it’s for every skin type imaginable and what I love about it is that when you put it on, there’s no heavy residue (MINERAL OIL FREE EVERYONE*) which makes it amazing.

Mineral and Paraffin oil free!

It’s made from natural ingredients and every time I look at the packaging I want to drink milk, sorry lactose intolerant people. I personally can’t believe how many people really like this brand and at the same time I wonder why people I know haven’t gotten on board with this product. I think they just need me to tell them about it, they’re just waiting.

This one is in Full Cream, it comes in ANTI AGEING TOO

It’s been 2 weeks using this particular cream and my skin looks so good. I love how it’s super soft and it has that natural glow to it. The main benefit is for skin elasticity and getting that elastin back into your skin.

Check the link out, I personally am in love with this brand, just read the packaging and that’s what sold it to me. http://www.moogoo.com.au/

Let me know guys if you do try this out because it’s just so nice.

*mineral oil/paraffin oil – leaves a residue on the face which eventually clogs the pores in your skin

FEEL: Lucas' papaw ointment review

August august august, guys it's august already! I feel like july just flew by.
Today I want to talk about Lucas' papaw ointment.

Lucas papaw ointment

I'm going to include a little link for all of you if you want to check it out and see why so many people rave about this product, which I'll include at the end of this blog.

My story..

This product has been around for a while and was crazy popular when I was in high school, I am not kidding one day I was like my lips are so dry at the moment and my friends would literally whip out their papaw ointment and say you should use this, it's really good.

Being stubborn, I never really jumped on the ban dwagon of papaw ointment because I wanted to be different and not have what everybody else had, I don't know, it's hard to explain. People would rave and rave about this product and I wouldn't really care to much about it.

The other day my fingers swelled up and it was so red and itchy that I had no idea what was going on with my fingers, I later figured that okay an ant bite or many because it felt so inflamed, swollen, red, itchy and just overall ugly and if any of you have ever had an ant bite, you get it right? And talk about biting in an awkward place too, if it bit me on my leg I don't think I'd care too much but fingers? Really ants?

The swelling went down because I rubbed a wedge of lemon over it but I still got left with some rough skin and skin that looked deflated if that made sense, it's hard to describe. A loss of elasticity I'm going to call it. I decided because it was there in my bathroom I'd try it out on the ant bites because at that point nothing was working and to me, using that, there would be no harm. Within a couple of hours, it looked so much better, almost completely healed now, the skin is looking normal and no dry or flaky areas. My thoughts, love it and it works!

My mum actually had a skin  reaction the other day to a sunscreen and her cheeks were so inflamed and red she was complaining that it was burning her and that it hurt. Immediately I was like, wash your face and cold compress, which helped and overnight she applied the papaw ointment and the next day it was amazing, it wasn't completely healed, but the swelling went down, the redness reduced, it's crazy when products really work sometimes.

What you use it on...

This product has so many benefits and it's not only an ointment that relieves but also cleanses the problem area. You name it, cuts, minor burns, chafing, splinters, cracked skin, nappy rash, insect bites (me), splinters, thorns I could go on.

My love for it..

What I really love is that, it's not only a product that works but it's inexpensive. You get so many crazy creams and ointments out there that are pricey and you're not even sure if it's going to do the job, with this ointment even  if it doesn't work, you've only spent at minimum $4.95 (that's how much I paid)

The sizes and packaging..

You've got 3 sizes, the 25g which comes in a tube form, which is just great to pop in your handbag. Talk about convenience. You have the 75g tub and also one that comes in 200g, if you use a lot of it.

I don't normally talk about packaging with products but with this one, it's simple and in a vibrant red colour, you just can't miss it.

Links and last few words..

If you guys want to read a bit more, head on over to their website and check it out for yourself. All I can say is I've got the little 25g tube in my bag everywhere I go now.

Till next blog, have an amazing day everybody!

FEEL: Yes to tomatoes acne spot stick REVIEW

Okay I’m kind of mad right now. Although I love trying out new products that I get or are given to me or I buy for myself, I really don’t like it when this one product I have seems to be working for everybody else but me, well 90% of people calculated by my own made up statistic, but you know what I mean.

What is Caroline talking about you may ask? Well I’ll tell you, okay, I’m talking about this Yes to tomatoes clear skin acne spot stick.

Yes to tomatoes clear skin acne spot stick
Where do I begin, okay mostly girls but some guys may relate to this if you’ve seen the ads, you get a pimple or you feel a whopper of a pimple coming on and you’re stressing out because people are just going to stare at it and with stress comes more pimples (if you’re like that) and you just need clear skin for this one event you may have. It always happens, your skin could look fiercely clear for one week and then when you actually have to be somewhere or go to a party or a rocking event, lol, yeah I’m laughing at myself I just said that, you have this huge pimple and no not at the side where you can sort of hide it with some hair but smack bang right in the middle of your face, so it’s like your pimple might as well be saying hello to everyone you meet.

I was so excited to try this spot stick out because just as I got it, I got a massive red pimple because I don’t even know, I think because this week I just went a bit cray cray with the deep fried food, whoops.

Reading the reviews on this product as well got me so excited and kind of a bit sad to say this, what I was reading was that it worked really well for A LOT of people who tried it, but unfortunately not for me, well sort of.

What is it?

Yes to tomatoes clear skin acne spot stick
It’s a roller ball spot stick which targets all those blemishes you may have and allows you to apply the product on the spot or blemish that needs it unlike you facial washes or scrubs which you apply all over your face.

What’s in it?

With any acne or pimple treatment, you’re going to find that it contains salicylic acid which helps to unclog pores, break down any blemishes and also control the oil.
It also contains bisabol and ginger which helps with the redness you find on your pimples and it helps to reduce it and also tomatoes which have lycopene which is great as that will help to control the oil.

How to use it?

I think the one thing that annoys me about this is having to apply it 1 -3 times a day especially for those really severe blemishes and even though it’s a quick little roll on, what if you’re the type of person that wears a lot of moisturiser or foundation all day.

The roller ball
When applied..

Applying it, it’s fun, it’s a different product, it makes you feel like you’re targeting that pimple. It goes on clear which is hard to see and make sure you give the tube a good shake so the roller ball doesn’t get stuck.

What I like about it?

I do like however that it is just for those spot blemishes, the smell is nice, I do really feel like I am doing something to prevent these pimples from getting worse, it’s not a drying product, my skin doesn’t get irritated. I think with the Yes to tomatoes brand, they’re products are very mild.

So why am I mad?

I guess I’m definitely bummed that it didn’t work as well for me, in my opinion it’s not a miracle worker, the blemish isn’t going to disappear overnight, there may be a slight difference, I definitely will say the redness on my blemish has reduced a fair bit and

My thoughts overall..

I would recommend this for those pimples that get really red. As for zits or blackheads or whiteheads, not so much as these lie deeper in the skin so I don’t think it works that deep down. But from what I gather overall it’s a product that would work for the majority.

FEEL: Shiseido bio performance super eye contour cream review and some quick tips

Let’s say you’ve had a really long day of doing whatever, be it housework, or work and if you’re anything like me, your eyes just get super tired after a long day.

I love the days where I can just stay at home and clean the house (it relaxes me for some reason, I like when things are clean, it makes everything feel fresh), it’s also the time where I don’t wear any makeup at all! I don’t know about the rest of you but sometimes I need that pop of mascara just to make me look awake and not like I’m about to fall asleep.

I discovered yesterday that sometimes when your eyes look tired and you feel that you need that bit of eye makeup, the skin around your eyes are just dry and they need some moisture to re energise them.

Shiseido bio performance super eye contour cream ,
sample size
I didn’t use my normal face cream but rather an eye contour cream by Shiseido. Shiseido bio-performance super eye contour cream to be exact.

I applied a little bit of this to my eyes as I received a sample after my mum bought a crazy amount of Shiseido products.

I was so surprised with this and how much it just re energized my eyes, the dullness around my eyes just disappeared and it really woke my eyes up.

The benefits of this eye contour cream is that it’s meant to help reduce wrinkles, dark circles and dullness and overall moisturize and re energise the skin.

Shiseido bio performance super eye contour cream
There have been some reviews out there where people have said that it makes the eyes a lot puffier than before, however I do have naturally puffy eyes especially those bags under my eyes (hello concealer!) but for me personally it didn’t accentuate the puffiness, if anything it just looked healthier. Think of dry skin on your hands and when you apply moisturiser to that dry area, you see the benefits, there’s more moisture and therefore your skin looks healthier and smooth. That’s how it was for my eyes.

Still being a young girl, wrinkles, they haven’t happened just yet but I do have some little lines near the inner corner of my eyes where the bags are (most probably from stretching the skin in that area) and after applying this once at night and just then this morning, the lines have definitely made themselves less prominent and I’m still pretty amazed.

Alright so review over, I just wanted to share some quick tips on applying eye cream.

The way you apply face cream is completely different to applying eye cream. With eye cream, you should always use your ring finger. Place a small amount of eye cream to the tip of your ring finger and first apply to the top lids working from the inner corner out. Then going under the eye working from the outer corner of your eye in.

The reason for doing it this way is you’re less likely to stretch the skin around your eyes, remember skin around the eyes are delicate and the reason for using your ring finger to apply is you’ll find that there is less pressure being applied using your ring finger than any other finger you use.

FEEL: De Lorenzo Elements extinguish thermal protection spray, and yep it's about my hair.. again.

I haven’t done a review in a while come to think of it, seriously I am obsessed with this high tea party, it’s all I ever talk about. I apologise.

So when I have massive family get togethers or see friends that I haven’t seen in a while, they always say something about my hair. If you don’t know I got it cut about a month ago now and my hair has already grown like 3 cm already, it’s ridiculous. I went from long to just above my shoulders and then I got a wavy perm to give it a bit more style.

I run pretty much everyday in the sun and I don’t like wearing hats when I’m running because of the sweat and the heat on my head. Gross

On top of that, I use my hair straightener just to curl areas that need more of a wavy definition, like the fringe so I can flick it back and make it look very 50’s.

I wanted to dye my hair an ash blonde a while back because I felt it was time for a change and I was so sick of my hair colour, but thanks to the sun, it’s turning a light brown and that’s what I get all the time from people, your hair is so light what did you do to it, and to that I reply, nothing, it’s from running in the sun.

I never thought it was a problem, I think my hair can pretty much withstand a lot, but my cousin the other day commented and said how dry it looked which was pretty upsetting to hear. I definitely think the perm took a toll on my hair as well with all the chemicals and yeah.

So I picked up De Lorenzo Elements extinguish thermal protection spray.
De Lorenzo Elements Extinguish thermal protection spray,
I picked this up for $19.95, shop around.

I just needed something to protect my hair from the heat of the sun and my hair straightener.

To be very honest and truthful with all of you, I really don’t see too much of a difference when I use any heat protection spray. Not to say that it doesn’t work, I definitely still want to use it. Just because I don’t feel a difference doesn’t necessarily mean that it isn’t working.

I used a different brand prior to this one and I think they all work pretty much the same. My hair isn’t as damaged maybe that’s why I don’t really see too much happening you could say.

However in saying that, my hair is definitely a lot more smoother and silkier feeling if that helps anybody, definitely spray this one before I blow dry my hair (which is rarely) or before I go out for a run in the sun or before I use my hair straightener.

And just for all you curious ones out there to give this review a bit more it lists that:

-        Conditioning properties smooth and control unruly hair
-        Contains certified organic ingredients
-        Provides natural UV protection (that’s why I got it)
-        It’s also  natural based, ph balanced and the packaging is recyclable
-        And of course recommended by hairdressers and not tested on animals, which is always a plus.

Until next post, we’ll see what I blog about it, maybe it’ll be about tea.

True or False? it's about nails

Is it true that the reason we wear nail polish isn’t just for the pretty colours and designs but we’re actually trying to hide the fact that our nails have dirt and grime under them?

I have no idea where this came from, it’s been years since I spoke to this particular girl at school about it and I don’t know I saw something to do with nails and it just triggered my memory (ever get that?)

Anyway, we were talking about nail polish and I told her I love it, it’s so pretty and she agreed, but then she told me she only wore it because dirt would get under her nails and she wouldn’t be bothered cleaning it, so she covered it up with nail polish, genius right. Uhhh no! First of all GROSS! And second EWW!

I didn’t believe her because I like keeping things neat and tidy, I’m just a very clean freak you could say, my friends say paranoid I say they lie, but whatever.

It wasn’t until one day she was taking off her nail polish and it was pretty gross. You know how you get that dirt under your nails sometimes, it was all under her nails and that’s when it hit me that she wasn’t lying that the only reason she wore nail polish was to cover that up.

Since then I haven’t met anyone that has said that to me, I just found that interesting and let’s leave it at that.

Dear diary: I'm writing a book!

Soo yeah did I tell you guys I’m writing a book?

I have absolutely no idea where this year is taking me, last year I was studying I had work experience in films and photo shoots, I travelled to LA last year for IMATS there, special workshops learning from the best and the experienced, it was also the first time I went overseas. Last year was a great year for me, I was busy I was studying and practicing something that I loved.

This year though, I felt a lot was going to change, it was the year that my life would sort of get started if you get me. This year has definitely been about growing up and figuring out what I really want to do and make some serious decisions that would affect the rest of my life.

I had absolutely no idea that this blog would be doing this well, or the fact that I was even going to start blogging, a huge surprise for me and a happy one too. It’s something I definitely look forward doing, chucking my thoughts out there and sharing some makeup and beauty tips we all love and of course this crazy world we call life in there as well.

So as a part of wanting to become not just a good makeup artist, or a great one, not just an ordinary one but I want to be amazing. I feel even though yeah okay I have my certificate I’m qualified to do make up, but I was only taught basics and I think there is a huge difference between getting your certificate in makeup and being a makeup artist.

A makeup artist puts in that effort, they give that bit more,  I’m not talking you just do amazing makeup I’m talking about everything, the whole deal.Skin care, skin prepping, knowing your skin types, knowing what products suit what person, how to deal with contra-indications, recognizing every contra-indication there is out there, the ingredients found in makeup and beauty products, what is it made of or what is it in general, understanding the skin’s pH balance, oil and water based products, face shapes, corrective work, eye shapes, the use of lighting and how it will affect your makeup, black and white photography, seriously I could go on.

There’s so much we need to know about makeup, it’s not as simple as slapping on concealer and foundation, it’s about what products can we use to get that makeup to last longer to work for you. I think that’s why I was definitely turned off doing makeup on film sets, people are really mean and they treated makeup artists like we were nothing, that we’re all about being pretty and if only people could see what I see and that is every element in a film set needs to work harmoniously with one another and it’s a shame, it was great experience, but it was shocking, I know rude but that took rude to another level. You’d be surprised at how bad that would make you feel.

I want to be that makeup artist where people ask me anything and I’ll have an answer for them right away. I want to be able to fix problems on the spot and not to be afraid of what if they don’t like the look I do for them. So yeah because of ALL that (sorry about the rant, couldn’t help myself) I’m writing a makeup guide book, everything you need to know and more. Another project for me but it all works to becoming an extraordinary makeup artist, that and even if it doesn’t get anywhere it’s my makeup guide, I’ve put a lot of effort into it and learnt so much along the way.

Right now I’m still on chapter 1, all about skin care, there is a lot to it but I feel like I know even more now.

Cold weather = moisturisers x 100

Wow I’m on a roll, well not really but whatever second makeup/beauty tip in a row, yayyyy!

So right now, it’s so cold and when there is cold weather about, there’s that windburn we all hate, there’s the dry and cracked skin that nobody wants and our skin just needs twice as much moisture than it normally would. I’m pretty sure you bring out twice as many products during the winter than the summer. Well at least I do. Honestly, I can’t count how many times I’ve pulled out my lip balm or hand cream today, this weather is taking a serious toll on my skin.

Now who doesn’t love a nice long bath or a hot shower after a long day of whatever you happen to be doing. I admit, when it gets really cold, I love a good hot shower, who doesn’t.

So here’s a little tip to keep that moisture in your skin right after one has bathed themselves.
My face gets really dry after cleansing it or just getting out of the shower, so once you’ve washed your face,

-        Pat dry with a towel and grab some of your favourite face moisturiser and first rub it between your palms and then pat it down onto your skin. Doing it this way, really helps to lock in that moisture and doesn’t irritate the skin like it would if you slapped on some moisturiser and rubbed it all over your face really quickly. Trust me I’ve seen people do that.

Also,

-        Don’t forget the skin on our face is delicate especially around the eye area so take care and be gentle with your skin. (why else do you think we have moisturizers just for the face or just for the body, it’s not a money making scheme, we need both) and

-        Always moisturize after you shower, especially hot showers. Let’s keep skin nice and silky smooth feeling this season. Technically it’s autumn here, but it feels like winter.

And for all you in the northern hemisphere, your turn will come when it gets this cold.

Because we all have eyebrows..

..some just more plentiful than others.

Okay so checking the history of my blog, it hasn’t really turned out like what I expected it to be, I originally loved the idea of putting my thoughts out there but more makeup and beauty focused.

Since that idea kind of failed, I just, I get really side tracked okay. Sad face. Life just happens and problems, drama, I’m not going to lie people do some really weird things and I just can’t help but blog about it and things that I find funny or cool or weird it all goes up nowadays. (I mean come on I just introduced a series called the tea diaries, talk about being side tracked)

But it’s okay, I’m happy either way but to try and get some makeup and beauty related stuff back into my blog here’s a little tip I came up with the other day.

So for myself post makeup I like to call it when I didn’t know anything but slapping on foundation for that flawless look, that’s all I would really do. Foundation, some mascara and eyeliner going on and that’s it. No blush, no contouring just whatever was really quick and easy to do. Now that I know a bit more, well A LOT more my makeup application is more structured.

I don’t know how many of you out there fill in your eyebrows, I for one never use to do it because I didn’t think I needed to, my eyebrows held out a pretty good shape.

Okay so there are the brow pencils that people use or you can just use some eye shadow.  I prefer using eye shadow the only downside is it doesn’t last all day, we’re all about foundation needing to last a good while but what about your eyebrows especially if you’ve applied something there already.

So when you’re brushing some shadow through your brows, here are some tips:

-        After you put on your foundation be it with a brush or wedge, brush some of that foundation over your eyebrows. This will help the shadow to stick onto something and for you to get that stronger, fuller brow look that is so in right now.

The Body Shop brow & lash gel
-        Or, brush over your brows with your foundation and apply some clear brow gel, (I use The Body Shop brow & lash gel) over the hairs of your brows. This helps to comb your brows through and sets them in place. You’ll find that the gel is a little bit sticky, so brush through some shadow through your brows to fill in any gaps or extend them that little bit more. You’ll find that the shadow lasts that much longer than it would if you didn’t apply any foundation or brow gel there.

-        Or you can always get yourself a brow mascara, they come in heaps of colours, but I like doing it the other ways, it makes makeup more fun.
Brow comb they come in smaller lengths,
talk about convenience at your fingertips

And PLEASE remember, if you’re brushing shadow through your brows, comb it out! It helps to spread that shadow through your brows evenly and looks a lot more natural without people looking at you like what is going on with your overdrawn eyebrows.

Dear diary: Look at what I bought shopping part 2

Part 2 here we go, I have literally spent hours on organising my beauty and makeup products, chucking things in boxes that I don’t need, making room to store some of the ridiculous products I have going on here. I am so tired right now.

Okay third purchase for that shopping trip was this cute little journal set I picked up at Kmart for $5.

Journal set

I've wanted a journal for ages now, I love writing so something I could just scribble my thoughts into and keep it just for myself to look back and reflect on, very old school but I love it.

Obviously blogs right now are great places for putting your thoughts out there, but sometimes nothing beats taking a journal and a pen and going outside on a beautiful, sunny day and sitting on a bench in a park or a garden, somewhere peaceful and just enjoy the art of writing. At least that’s how I see it.

Definitely can’t wait to start writing in this, it comes with a journal, a notepad and a matching pen and it’s got a picture of New York! (oh New York, one day I will visit you)

Fourth purchase is a goody, this was the reason for my shopping trip.

I’ve got a pretty good system of where I store my brushes and my products, but I thought it was time for a change, get rid of the old, in with the new. Know what I mean?

Compaca storage box
So here I got a Compaca storage box, as it is called, I was immediately sold on this because of where you could store the brushes and the 2 layer shelves. I’m looking at it right now and the reason I’m so tired is because I have way too many products, it’s so full I’m really surprised with how much I could fit into it and it just makes things look so much more neater.

Fifth buy was storage for my cosmetics and it was this cosmetic organiser.

Cosmetic organiser
This is just so handy and I actually should mention I purchased this and the compaca storage box at Target, I think that’s why I got it because it was sort of similar to the first one but I wanted it, I didn’t even think do I really need this, I just saw it picked it up and paid for it.

One side of this you can store brushes, moisturisers and on the other side your lipsticks, your eye primers anything you want that fits into it. Love it.

Lipstick organiser

Finally last purchase of the day and yes from target again and it’s a lipstick organiser, this was so cheap $3.50. Holds up to 9 lipsticks and I thought this would be great to have on makeup jobs with me or just to store the lipsticks I have that I use more of.

Very satisfied with the purchases I bought for this shopping trip and I didn’t even spend over $100.

Have a google account? come show some support for my other blog at http://lalalinee.blogspot.comby following me there as well.

Dear diary: Look at what I bought shopping part 1

This shopping trip for me has been a long time coming, I’ve been dying to spend some money on just anything (besides beauty products, but only if I really really need it), so because of that, instead of buying beauty or makeup products or shoes or clothes I bought some pretty random but things I’ve wanted to buy for a while or 2 days ago because I saw it was on sale in a catalogue.

I think I’ll break this post into two parts, only because I don’t want it to be so long that you can’t be bothered reading it anymore, people who get distracted really easily (me) I’m talking to you.

First buy, well, it was a train ticket but that doesn’t count.

I think it’s because I haven’t been shopping in so long that I had absolutely no idea these even existed until I read someone’s blog (I’m so sorry I forget who).

They’re Formula 10.0.6 face masks in little sachets and because I use one of their cleansers I wanted to give their face masks a try.

Formula 10.0.6 face masks
I just want to say though a quick pro and con with these things, great if you want a quick and inexpensive test run with these because you’ve never used their product before, but when you really think about it, and if you’re a magazine purchaser lover like me, I’m pretty sure they use these as free giveaways in magazines at times. Not necessarily this brand but the amount you get to try it out, it’s kind of like another way the company makes more money.

No review yet, probably will give the orange one a try tonight and get a review up sometime this week.

Second purchase: A gift box high tea set!!

This is the cutest thing ever, ever since the idea of wanting a high tea party, I’ve just been spotting tea sets everywhere I go!

I swear this is so super cute I love it and it only costed me 20 bucks. It comes with a 48 page recipe book, 24 cupcake holders, ahhh a TEA strainer!!!!! And of course a 3 tier cake stand.

High tea gift box set
Now the cake stand is just cardboard but you know what, I only need it for that high tea party of mine and it can just be on display for all I care. The tea strainer is a cute little bargain, re useable, dish washable, stainless steel, so appropriate for this high tea.

The 3 -tier cake stand
You know I’m just so excited the book talks about the history of tea, recipes for the cutest cupcakes in the world plus scones, cookies, umm cocktails anyone, probably more like mocktails, sandwiches, YUM! And on top of that high tea serving etiquette, I mean who doesn’t want to know about that.

The recipe book, tea strainer and cupcake holders

Very very excited and happy, walked out of the store with the biggest grin on my face.

Okay so I’m going to end it here and post up part 2 tomorrow or something.

FEEL: Palmer's cocoa butter body butter, review, sort of.

So you know when they say as you grow older your skin starts to get rough and loses its elasticity and extensive exposure to sunlight causes wrinkles, I don’t want that to happen, it will, but I’ll prevent these wrinkles and coarse skin for as long as I can.

I don’t know what it is for me personally but lately my skin is super soft, I’m talking softer than a baby’s bottom.

I was talking to a friend of mine about this and because I‘ve been running everyday now she says it’s something to do with your pores opening up and that’s why my skin is getting softer, but I don’t think that’s the reason, I think it’s because of one of my beauty products.

Palmer's cocoa butter formula with Vitamin E Cocoa body butter ultra moisturising cream
Palmer’s cocoa butter formula with vitamin E Cocoa body butter ultra moisturizing cream (long name I KNOW!)

To be honest with you I’m not a big fan of the smell you would think ooo chocolate who doesn’t love chocolate, but for me it’s too strong.

I was given this as a gift and because of my Look at all this stuff blog I don’t want to be spending more money on more beauty products that I already have especially moisturizers so I’m forcing myself to use this one.

But don’t get me wrong this is the reason why my skin is so soft right now. After my shower time, especially it being so cold at nights right now my skin gets really dry after I take a shower because the water is warm bordering on hot, so to prevent my skin drying out from that, I moisturize like a maniac.

Like I said smell, gross. But benefits towards your skin, A – MAZING!

As this body butter was designed for skin re hydration, it does just that, my skin has never felt this silky smooth before and I love my sorbolene cream so it’s a big thing for me to say that about this product.

Oh and when it says it melts into your skin, you can bet that your skin will feel super soft the next morning.

I just realised how difficult it was to say the title out loud, sort of.

SEE: Modelco Lash Fibre mascara review

Alright so I recently got my hands on another mascara, I’m sorry I can’t help it to be honest I think of it as an investment for my blog so whenever I buy something I can blog about it, I’m showing you guys some love from me to you.

For IMATS last year there was this whole craze about longer lashes with no mascara, the secret? Fibres. I just remember being like I really want longer lashes I want to try this fibre lash thing out but my friend stopped me because she thought it was lame and I was just like there’s nothing lame about wanting longer lashes.

Modelco lash fibre mascara

Modelco has a mascara called Fibre Lash and to be honest with you all I was extremely excited to try this product out (being a mascara lover and all).

Unfortunately it’s not as great as I anticipated it to be. When you think wow adding fibres to your lashes they must look extra long and flirty and fluttery looking, that sort of kind of didn’t happen.

Now don’t get me wrong it’s a great mascara but when I got it, I expected AMAZING STAND OUT lashes and it was kind of almost there but not really and to be truthful my Maybelline Falsies mascara works a lot better and application heaps quicker especially when you’re in a rush.

But because I believe in giving every makeup product out there a chance, If you do decide to purchase this particular mascara just don’t expect it to have that WOW factor.

So application is really easy but can be a bit of a pain because I’m so paranoid about having my mascara open for too long with the air getting in and drying up the mascara quicker I literally close it everytime I have to switch to apply the fibres.

So to give you an insight on how to apply this,

Extension macara in black

Step 1: Apply the extension mascara FIRST, don’t chuck a me and not read the instructions. I put the fibres on first and DUH where would you expect it to go but in your eyeball because it has nothing to stick to.
Step 2: Apply the lash fibres to the mascara already on
Step 3: Re apply that extension mascara to the lash fibres and you’re done.

Lash fibres

You might think it’s that simple and yeah it is, it’s just if you’re anything like me and being paranoid about mascara drying out, I closed the lid on that mascara everytime I had to swap it around to use the lash fibres and then back to the extension mascara.

Props for a makeup product that’s compact and versatile but for me personally, it gets annoying when you’re in a rush.
