Dark circles, what dark circles?

Dear dark circles under my eyes, why won’t you just go away?

Although there are tonnes and tonnes of different concealers out there that can help you in hiding those dark circles, there’s no permanent fix for them. Annoying I know.

You can hide them all you like with concealer but when it’s been a long day and you’re just really tired, they’re going to show. People are going to be like, what’s wrong with your eyes? Or why are your eye bags so dark? I know how you feel. I get it from time to time when I just don’t get the sleep that I need. People can be so mean.

So if you wake up one morning and you know you have a long day ahead of you and you just haven’t gotten your beauty sleep, here’s something that I do that I’d like to share with you all.

1.    CONCEALER!
Is a must as always, I think out of every makeup product out there concealer has got to be my favourite. With the type of concealer you use, opt for one that is creamier, you’ll find that it’s easier to blend onto the skin and gives a bit more coverage.

2.   EYE SHADOW
If you’re not one of those I’m just good with mascara on my eyes kind of girl and need some eyeshadow. Apply the colour only to your top lids. This way the attention is drawn to the top part of your eyes instead of the bottom.

3.    MASCARA
Mascara lover? You sound like me. I love mascara so just like applying eyeshadow, apply mascara to your top lashes only. Applying them on the bottom creates a dark shadow and you want to draw attention away from that area.

4.    NUDE EYELINER
Finally, we’ve all heard about white eyeliner on your inner rim, but if you find that white can be a bit daring try a nude eyeliner. This is perfect as you’ll find it suits all skin colours and just lightens up that area and the nude colour gives a more natural look.

past product review in see.smell.feel

See
Australis concealer in medium

Concealers do absolute wonders for covering blemishes and setting a neutral base for eyeshadows to be applied.  I like how this concealer is very smooth and can be easily blended onto the skin, however for covering those dark spots or pigmentation on the skin, a little bit more coverage is still needed. I still use this on top of my eyelids as it’s a great base for eyeshadows.

Smell
CK IN2U Heat

SWEET! SWEET SWEET! Is all I can say. Smelling this I feel like I’ve just walked through a garden of flowers. The smell is very refreshing and very pleasant, however just one spray is enough as it can be quite overpowering. With a tiny hint of musk in it, I feel brings it together without overshadowing the beautiful floral scents in it.

Feel
Kenkay Skin Relief Sorbolene moisturizer with 10% glycerin

There are so many moisturizers out there, ranging from lotions that are formulated with aloe vera to lotions that are enriched with sea minerals but how do you know which one is right for you?
I’ve tried so many lotions and whilst they are fine for my skin I am a big fan of using sorbolene cream.  Not only is it inexpensive and I mean 500g for $5, it’s helped my skin feel really hydrated and great for the legs after shaving. Not only is it a moisturizer, but it can be used as a soap substitute or shaving cream. A product that gives you more than one benefit always goes down well in my books.

past product of the month

One of my favourite products this month that I've been constantly using would have to be Benefit erase paste.

Since the day I got it, I couldn't wait to try it and it has definitely done wonders for all those blemishes and imperfections I get.

It's also been great in hiding those dark circles under my eyes and reducing the puffiness and you can thank the creamy consistency of the concealer for that one.

It comes in 3 shades and for a good price as well, considering you only need a minimal amount when applying it.
A product definitely worth trying out!
